The Project

Ensuring the Greatest Generation Will Never be Forgotten

The mission of the Chinese American WWII Veterans Recognition Project is to recognize, honor and celebrate the military service of Chinese Americans who fought in the Second World War through advocacy, education and preservation. Our work is to ensure that the achievements and contributions of the ‘greatest generation’ will never be forgotten.

The Chinese American WWII Veterans Recognition Project is a program of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.), a 501(c)8, and the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance Community Involvement Fund, a 501(c)3. Together we are spearheading a national campaign to identify, honor and recognize the efforts and accomplishments of all Chinese Americans who served in the United States Armed Services in World War II.

We achieve our goals by:

  • Advocating for the passage of S.1050 and H.R.2358 Chinese American World War II Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Act;

  • Educating the public about their efforts and accomplishments while serving the United States; and

  • Preserving their legacy so the ‘greatest generation’ will never be forgotten.
